Knox County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or has been released, post bond, retrieve a booking record, or make a records decision. Send those questions to the official office that maintains the underlying information.

KCSO Inmate Services
For a custody clarification, call 865-281-6700. The official web sources are the KCSO 24-hour custody view and inmate population page. The first is a recent custody window, while the second reflects current population rather than every past arrest.

Knoxville, TN
Phone: 865-215-2375

Use the Clerk for court events, dockets, and case dispositions. A court disposition, not a booking listing, controls the case outcome.
Knoxville Police Department records
For a KPD-held report, video, or image, use the KPD Open Records portal. KPD records are separate from the KCSO corrections roster, even when a city arrest results in county detention.
State custody and release notifications
For a person currently or formerly in TDOC custody or supervision, use the TDOC FOIL search. For status or release alerts, Tennessee VINE is available through TDOC Victim Services and by phone at 888-868-4631.
- For the county’s booking, roster, records-request, and court-source path, start with the Knox County guide.
- For an official warrant-check route, see Most Wanted; this site does not decide whether a warrant exists.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use TDOC FOIL rather than a local custody listing.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the appropriate BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator. These systems are separate from a Knox County booking record.
